Project Director (Design and Construction)

SSOE’s Project Construction Management Team is looking for a Project Director, to lead projects in support of our design/build clients who are expanding and building throughout the world. SSOE provides engineering and project expertise to our clients and as a Project Director, you will be responsible for total project delivery management and project leadership focusing on client success for the full life cycle of projects.

This role is open for consider for the following office locations: Midland, MI; Birmingham, Alabama; Nashville, TN; Toledo, OH.

Project Manager (Food)

SSOE’s Project Managers and Construction Managers lead and support projects that range from advanced technology, automotive facilities, healthcare to energy, chemical, food and telecommunication, The size of our projects in these industries range in size, scope, and complexity; no two projects are alike and each will bring its own unique challenge and solution.

SSOE doesn’t stop when the project is completed, using our Lessons Learned process to continually improve. After each of our projects, our project teams take a look back at what was good and what can we learn from on each project, to ensure we are always providing the client with the best possible experience. Using 70 years’ experience is how SSOE has arrived at our current project processes, procedures and best practices for excellent total project delivery.

SSOE is searching for an engineer, project manager, or construction manager with experience in food production facilities to lead the implementation of capital projects at a major food production plant in Cedar Rapids, IA. The position will report to the plant engineering manager.

Our senior level PMs are required to have a PMP, because we are dedicated to the PMP principles and practices. Our seasoned project teams use a collaborative series of tools to achieve total project delivery specific to the project’s scope and client goals, including systematic reporting, QC and lessons learned.

Electrical Construction Administrator (Industrial)

SSOE is searching for an on-site electrical supervisor with at least five years of experience for an upcoming industrial greenfield project. Working with a team of other disciplines, this person will be responsible for overseeing the electrical portion of the construction.

Construction Management Co-op (Fall 2019)

SSOE Group is looking for a student to join our Project Controls Department at our award-winning Toledo office. Candidate should possess the desire to work under EPCM (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management) resources for our organization while providing support to our design and engineering staff. The co-op assignments are structured so that the candidates develop the ability with each new work term to accept work assignments with increasing level of complexity and self-reliance.

SSOE internships provide opportunities for students to gain experience in their field, determine if they have an interest in a particular career, and create a network of contacts.

This opportunity is considered integral to the Construction Team and will be provided tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating. Under guidance of the Construction Execution Team, the students will be assigned to teams associated with ongoing EPC or EPCM programs.

Although SSOE makes no guarantee of employment, it is our goal to have our Interns fully capable of stepping into a full-time rotation program to prepare them for a project management or construction position within our organization by the end of the program.
