Safety Coordinator

SSOE is searching for an on-site Safety coordinator / supervisor with at least five years of experience for an upcoming industrial greenfield project. Working with a team of other disciplines, this person will be responsible for managing, controlling, supporting and implementing safety best practices in the construction.

Mechanical Engineer

We are looking to hire a Mechanical Project Engineer who will work onsite assisting one of SSOE’s clients in the commissioning and startup of their plant. Desired candidates will have a mechanical engineering background and must be familiar with automotive plant facilities and equipment.

As a Project Engineer you will evaluate existing systems through field observation, investigation and testing. You will determine root cause issues and develop corrective action plans to submit to the Owner.

You will be expected to work off hours, as required for testing, and occasional weekend or holiday hours to take advantage of plant shutdowns for easier access to systems.

You will obtain field data, developing engineering reports and cost estimates to review with the Owner. You will have interface with the contractor and trades onsite.

Project Manager (Design-Build)

SSOE’s Project Managers lead all aspects of the design projects, including schedule, cost, budget and scope. This role is leading our client projects that are within our client programs dedicated to chemical lab/offices. The size of our projects in these industries range in size, scope and complexity; no two projects are alike and each will bring its own unique challenge and solution.

SSOE doesn’t stop when the project is completed, using our Lessons Learned process to continually improve. After each of our projects, our project teams take a look back at what was good and what can we learn from on each project, to ensure we are always providing the client with the best possible experience. Using 70 years’ experience is how SSOE has arrived at our current project processes, procedures and best practices for excellent total project delivery.

Construction Coordinator (Industrial)

Architect / Civil Engineer Construction Coordinator to be fulltime on-site during the construction of an industrial facility, to support a CM team to control and supervise the quality, cost and time of construction of a General Contractor.

Electrical Construction Administrator (Industrial)

SSOE is searching for an on-site electrical supervisor with at least five years of experience for an upcoming industrial greenfield project. Working with a team of other disciplines, this person will be responsible for overseeing the electrical portion of the construction.

SSOE Group is looking for a student to join our Project Controls Department at our award-winning Toledo office. Candidate should possess the desire to work under EPCM (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management) resources for our organization while providing support to our design and engineering staff. The co-op assignments are structured so that the candidates develop the ability with each new work term to accept work assignments with increasing level of complexity and self-reliance.

SSOE internships provide opportunities for students to gain experience in their field, determine if they have an interest in a particular career, and create a network of contacts.

This opportunity is considered integral to the Construction Team and will be provided tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating. Under guidance of the Construction Execution Team, the students will be assigned to teams associated with ongoing EPC or EPCM programs.

Although SSOE makes no guarantee of employment, it is our goal to have our Interns fully capable of stepping into a full-time rotation program to prepare them for a project management or construction position within our organization by the end of the program.
