SSOE is looking to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing healthcare, educational and commercial team. Our team is looking for the next Lead Senior Mechanical Engineer that will be known to be our “go-to Engineer” for special projects and within the department team.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will work as a lead of a multi-disciplined design team providing our clients efficient and innovated solutions to their projects. Candidates must have experience in the design, sizing, and selection of mechanical building systems, including HVAC, piping, and plumbing.

Mechanical Designer

The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for detailed phases of industrial facilities system design work on major projects or total design work on projects of smaller or moderate scope.

SSOE is searching for an engineer, project manager, or construction manager with experience in food production facilities to lead the implementation of capital projects at a major food production plant in Cedar Rapids, IA. The position will report to the plant engineering manager.

Our senior level PMs are required to have a PMP, because we are dedicated to the PMP principles and practices. Our seasoned project teams use a collaborative series of tools to achieve total project delivery specific to the project’s scope and client goals, including systematic reporting, QC and lessons learned.

Junior Mechanical Designer

Our Mechanical Designers at SSOE are essential, working closely with our project teams, project managers and clients. The Mech. Designers are more than mere draftsmen, they implement the designs of the lead engineers in both 2D and 3D environments, often working out the practical distribution solutions and coordinating with multiple disciplines. They operate in a highly visual based system and are often the backbone of the production of our construction documents. Mechanical Designers can expect to support projects involving industrial and domestic piping, plumbing, HVAC and Fire Protection systems covering a wide range of expertise and levels of detail
