Position Summary

SSOE’s is looking for a Assistant Project Manager to support projects that are within programs dedicated to chemical lab/offices. The size of our projects in these industries range in size, scope and complexity, no two projects are alike and each will bring its own unique challenge and solution.

SSOE doesn’t stop when the project is completed, using our Lessons Learned process to continually improve. After each of our projects, our project teams take a look back at what was good and what can we learn from on each project, to ensure we are always providing the client with the best possible experience. Using 70 years’ experience is how SSOE has arrived at our current project processes, procedures and best practices for excellent total project delivery.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Will participate and support, along site of the Project Manager, scheduling, coordinating and attending project meetings
  • Interdisciplinary coordination between team, client, and support staff.
  • Maintain project budgets and financial reporting.
  • Participate in processing information requests (RFI’s, Submittals, Review Comments, etc.).
  • Responsible for document control (digital and hard copy).
  • Will be given project correspondence (Meetings, Reports, Memos, Emails, etc.) to facilitate, maintain and track.
  • Will aide with proposal and marketing support (collateral, presentations, visual aids, etc.).
  • Maintain quality and safety company and client standards.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree / DIRECT / 3-5

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering which qualifies for licensure in the state of practice or an Associate degree in the engineering field is preferred.
  • CAPM Certification is encouraged.
  • A minimum 1 year experience as an Junior level Engineer, or a minimum 3 years of related experience.
  • Good facilitator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experienced in the following software packages: (Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and AutoCAD).
  • Due to the travel involved in this role, a Valid US driver’s license and ability to qualify for company’s insurance required.
