SSOE Inc. currently has an exciting career opportunity in our Omaha, NE office for a Senior Process Engineer.
As a Senior Process Engineer and Section Manager at SSOE, you will have the opportunity to:
- Supervise and be involved in the preparation of PFDs, P&IDs, chemical simulations, specifications, and mechanical packages.
- Be responsible for profit, strategy and growth of your section of the business unit.
- Coordinate and oversee work sharing, work quality and staff development
- Provide leadership and delegation of responsibilities to staff.
- Development of necessary deliverables in team environment for electrical bids and construction.
Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Engineering, which qualifies for licensure in the state of practice. PE or PE-tracked preferred, plus five (5) or more years of related practical experience with former employer(s) required. Project engineering (scoping, estimating, status reporting), process and facility engineering, business development (proposal preparation & presentation, manhour and design cost estimating and scheduling), ISO system compliance for all assignments. Candidate will work closely with client division engineering personnel on a regular basis for project definition, development, estimating, and local plant support. Primary focus will be on plant support to Refrigerated / Dairy Products plants. Food process design, operations, and construction support experience. Experience should include: Packaging systems, Sanitary design for processes and GMP facilities including CIP systems, relevant environmental systems, utility systems, and field support for all phases of project execution (scoping to commissioning). Specific experience desired includes: food operations with thermal processing of dairy food products; liquid processing and drying systems with an emphasis on powdered products. Candidate should have familiarity with storage, transport and processing operations and equipment such as conveyors, (belt and pneumatic), elevators, dryers, blenders, PHE and materials handling throughout the plant process. Travel Required. Other duties as assigned.
