SSOE Inc. currently has an exciting career opportunity in our Cedar Rapids, IA office for a Sr. Controls Engineer.
As a Senior Controls Engineer at SSOE, you will have the opportunity to:
- Apply your controls system design expertise on exciting and challenging projects
- Develop and manage project scope and budgets
- Deliver projects on time and within budget and with the highest technical quality
- Self perform PLC programming for A-B PLCs, Panelviews, HMI programming including RSView and Wonderware.
- Perform start-up and commissioning at customers site
- Mentor and impart knowledge to junior engineers and designers.
- Work with some of the top engineers among all disciplines and Fortune 500 clients, gaining additional expertise and building your reputation and career.

We seek a talented and highly motivated engineer with a B.S. in either Electrical or Computer Science Engineering and 8+ years of experience in the design of industrial process controls systems, including PLC programming and HMI programming. Experience as the design team leader for complex controls systems is desired. Food industry design experience including start-up/commissioning experience is highly preferred. PE registration is desirable. To be successful, candidates must have excellent technical skills, combined with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
