Position Summary:
HVAC engineer with experience in science and technology projects for institutional, federal clients and private industry.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform schematic design, design development and construction document process related to HVAC engineering.
  • Assist in managing project issues, budgets, and schedules.
  • Review and critique proposed changes to engineering standards, policies, or details.
  • Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of less experienced engineers and designers.
  • Mentor and train junior mechanical staff.

Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering field. PE-tracked required with 3 - 5 years directly related work experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must have great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be organized, results oriented, innovative and be able to deal with ambiguity and tight deadlines while working effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local building codes and safety laws.
  • Working knowledge of CAD tools.
  • Work requires travel to meetings, site visits, and inspections. This requires the possession of a valid state drivers license within 60 days of employment.
