Position Summary:
The Senior Chemical Engineer will...
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Majority of work will be to perform checking operations of new and revised chemical plant designs on both plans, sections, details, and isometric drawings.
- May also check specifications; perform engineering studies, write reports, and complete calculations; and prepare designs for process plant installations.
- Specifications will include major items of rotating equipment such as compressors, turbines, and pumps.
- Other equipment may include pressure vessels, heat exchangers, dryers, distillation columns, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Assist in preparation of bid packages and equipment purchasing.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering. PE or PE tracked preferred with eight plus years of experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Must have good writing and verbal communication skills.
- Process computer program usage experience, preferrably ASPEN or ChemCAD.
- process plant (chemical, refinery) experience, either design or maintenance.
- A/E or EPC firm experience is a plus.
- Process safety management experience is a plus.
- Due to client requirements, US citizenship is required.
