Position Summary:
The Sustainable and Renewable Energy Specialist will...
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Lead and participate in energy audits and energy conservation projects.
- Review new renewable energy technology.
- Determine applicable energy efficiency grants and incentives.
- Assist in the selection and mentoring of junior level staff.
- Participate in business development activities through client meetings and presentations at technical conferences.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred. LEED Accreditation and/or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Certification also preferred.
8 or more years directly related experience in the design and/or installation and implementation of alternative energy products and technologies, including: wind power, solar thermal, solar power, fuel cells, biomass and/or biofuels.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Working knowledge of energy-related legislative policy and incentives.
- Proven ability to develop and review an organization's carbon footprint as well as the ability to develop a sustainability and/or renewable energy plan.
- Previous experience in master planning activities.
