Position Summary:
Sr. Mechanical Engineer knowledgeable in plumbing and HVAC design who will manage and design Industrial Facility and Commercial projects.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Perform HVAC and plumbing design calculations and size equipment.
- Design piping and ductwork systems.
- Supervise and review work completed by team designers and junior engineers.
- Coordinate projects and work with other SSOE offices.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Professional Engineers license or ability to obtain PE soon. 8 - 10 years directly related design experience in Plumbing and HVAC Design.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Previous work experience in Industrial Facilities and/or Commercial Design Projects.
- Knowledge of plumbing codes in the state of Alabama.
- Proficient in the design and preparation of mechanical construction documents for industrial facilities.
- Proven ability to work with AutoCad, Microstation and HVAC load calculation programs.
- Excellent communication skills to lead and support teams across multiple locations.
- Effectively able to work in both a team environment and independently.
- Flexibility to undertake work in multiple market sectors.
- Detail-Oriented and capable of handling several projects simultaneously.
