Position Summary

The Business Development Account Executive will be responsible for leveraging local and global networks to uncover business development leads for SSOE in the China healthcare market. As leads are developed, this position will work closely with other departments on the development of proposals and building of client relationships.

The ideal candidate should have 10 or more years of experience in healthcare project management and will have existing client accounts, relationships and or connections with development zones and other sources for project information. The Business Development Executive works to secure new accounts, while growing and leveraging existing accounts. The Business Development Executive will play a key part in driving top line growth for SSOE’s China operation.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engages in strategic opportunities during early development of the pre-opportunity/pre-RFP stage to develop strategy and position opportunity for RFP or pre-RFP close. Supports other Business Development personnel, or other senior executives, as required.
  • Interfaces with Marketing staff on selected opportunities to complete proposal.
  • Researches new market sectors, growth areas, industry trends, and clients to support sales performance targets identified in company business plans.
  • Works independently and/or with outside vendors to collect data and prepare reports/presentations for business growth opportunities.
  • Supports development of relationships, partnerships, and alliances with other firms and third party companies.

  • Position may require non-traditional working hours, including coordinating multiple time zones.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree / RELATED / 6-8

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor degree in engineering, construction, or architecture. Deep technical A/E design and construction experience in health care sector.
  • 10+ years healthcare project management experience, in AE, construction or similar EPCM firms like SSOE.
  • Comfortable with BD processes, including approaching customers and set up meetings, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, post award relationship maintenance etc.
  • Experience in business development and account management is a plus.
  • Extensive network with established developers, investors, etc. in the health care sector.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Must be willing to travel locally, regionally, and internationally to develop strong client relationships.
