Position Summary

Our Architects at SSOE are the creative drivers that work closely with our project teams, project managers and clients. From proposal throughout the design process and construction, to the close out and project completion, the Architectural team is key in keeping the client’s scope in sight.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understanding the requirements of the client and providing preliminary proposal drawings
  • • Delivering project specific deliverables meeting the client’s and company’s regulatory requirements
  • • Preparing project design schedules and managing a team of Architects & designers as well as executing projects within time & budgetary constraints
  • • Communicating project expectations to the team members and ensuring that the project team understands the scope of work
  • • Design inputs for General Arrangements drawings, Layout and reviewing the same so as to ensure compliance with all relevant codes & technical specifications
  • • Preparing project documentation such as proposals, man-hour estimates and schedules
  • • Developing and reviewing technical specifications for various architectural items.
  • • Accountable for production of proposal drawings, detailed drawings, tender drawings & specifications
  • • Coordinating with global teams and clients for architectural design tasks (work-share)
  • • Providing assistance & oversight during finalization of architectural items & finishing materials.
  • • Performing analysis to ensure compliance with relevant Building Codes.
  • • Interdisciplinary coordination
  • • Managing work assignments to comply with schedule and budget expectations
  • • Reviewing all architectural deliverables to ensure quality.
  • • Nurturing relationships with clients, engineers and project stakeholders
  • • Identifying issues and developing appropriate innovative solutions to resolve problems
  • • Provide training for junior architects and guide them to understand company policy and standards and technical skills.
  • • May travel to International locations as per business requirement.
  • • Mentor emerging professionals and designers, to help them develop needed skills and knowledge on projects and working with US counterparts

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree / DIRECT / 8+

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor Degree in Architecture
  • Hold an Architectural License
  • Minimum of 10 or more years of related practical experience within the industry
  • Exposure to Institutional/commercial project is must
  • Working knowledge of Revit, auto cad
  • Team management experience
  • Valid passport
  • Strong desire to develop new designs / technology
  • Enthusiastic, able to work well under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Self-starter and goal oriented
  • Attention to details and strong sense of responsibility
  • Fluent in English
  • Being able to travel to USA for extended time – up to 2 weeks at a time
  • Experience in coordinating architectural drawings with engineering drawings
  • Coordinate with US managers to ensure appropriate staffing is supplied at the right level of expertise to the appropriate project
  • Have experience in supervising the development of computer generated renderings for presentations
  • Understanding and Experience with Healthcare and Commercial projects.
