Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • May review system requirement and preparation of design, scopes of work and estimates for new project
  • Verify that applicable codes and engineering standards practices are being met
  • Assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluations, tests, products or equipment when necessary data are insufficient or confirmation by testing is advisable
  • Perform as a staff advisor and consultant as to technical specialty, a type of facility, industry, equipment or program function
  • Resolve issues or problems concerning conflicting design requirements, specifications and/or difficult coordination requirements
  • Conduct peer reviews and makes technical presentations
  • Conduct calculation checks
  • Draw engineering conclusions for data analysis within area of technical proficiency
  • Assist in determining schedule and budget requirements
  • Under direction of a professional or appropriately experienced engineer, manages small tasks or portions of larger project
  • Under the direction of a professional or appropriately experienced engineer, independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications
  • Assistance furnished on unusual problems and work reviewed for application of sound professional judgment
  • Make decisions independently on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work
  • Carry out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline
  • Minimum six years of relevant experience
  • Experience in equivalent discipline
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Effective writing skills and excellent communications skills
  • Available for travel out of town and out of province
  • Bilingual-English and Spanish Preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Perform as a staff advisor and consultant as to technical specialty, a type of facility, industry, equipment or program function

Position Type: Contract
Minimum Education and Experience: Dipl. Ing. / DIRECT / 8+ OSHA 10/30-hour Construction Certificate preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • BIM / CAD Advanced
  • BS Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
  • +8 years of proven experience on Electrical Motors, Generator, electrical/electronic failure analysis and electrical/electronic equipment problem solving.
  • Self-motivated, make things happen, take owner and leadership.
  • Has de ability to prioritize and work critical issues first.
  • Problem solving techniques.
  • Fully teamwork oriented.
  • Bilingual English-Spanish.
  • Revit preferred

Position Summary SSOE Mexico on the engineering and design business sector seeks to add a senior career professional to provide solutions for diverse industry sectors (automotive, aerospace, food, and general manufacturing), with a focus initially on the design / energy / industrial sector within Mexico.
