Position Summary

SSOE Group is seeking an engineering student to fill Structural Engineering Co-op positions in our Brentwood TN, Troy Michigan, or Toledo Ohio offices. The student must be enrolled as a Civil major in an ABET accredited engineering program- who has completed structural engineering coursework and has productive computer skills. An ideal candidate for this position will have exposure to design programs, as well as hold productive computer skills.

The co-op position is set to cover the summer 2019 semester and could be prolonged thru the summer of 2019

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in generating 2D drawings & 3D models.
  • Assist in preliminary structural calculations.
  • Assist in gathering field information on existing structures.

Minimum Education and Experience

College Junior / ENTRY / 0-2

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Completed several courses related to structural engineering analysis and design.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Autocad or MicroStation.
