Detroit, Michigan, July 05, 2011 – SSOE Group (www.ssoe.com), an international engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) firm, announced today that N. Sandrine Mubenga, PE, an electrical engineer with the firm, has been selected to present at the 2011 IEEE Power & Energy Society General Meeting on July 25, 2011 at the Renaissance Center in Detroit, Michigan.
The presentation titled, “A Case Study on the Hybridization of an Electric Vehicle into a Fuel Cell Hybrid Vehicle and the Development of a Solar Powered Hydrogen Generating Station” is based on research Sandrine performed while pursuing her Master’s Thesis at the University of Toledo. The purpose of the presentation is to demonstrate the technical feasibility of fuel cell hybrid vehicle transportation using hydrogen produced primarily by solar energy.
This power engineering conference brings together practicing power engineers, executives, policy makers and academics from all over the world with a goal to provide an international forum for experts to promote, share, and discuss various issues and developments in the field of electrical power engineering. The theme of the meeting is “The Electrification of Transportation & the Grid of the Future”.
Sandrine is an experienced electrical engineer responsible for designing various electrical and communications systems for utility-power, institutional, and industrial clients. These systems include power distribution, lighting, emergency back-up generation, and computer systems for new and remodeled facilities. She is also certified as a Photovoltaic System Installer / Designer Apprentice by the Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association. Sandrine received both her Master’s and Bachelor of Science Degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toledo in Ohio.
