SSOE Group Announces Employee Registrations and Certifications for Third Quarter of Planning Year 2014

TOLEDO, Ohio, July 10, 2014 – SSOE Group (www.ssoe.com), a global engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) firm, announced today that two employees earned professional registrations and one employee earned a professional certification during the third quarter of their 2014 planning year. Attainment of professional licensure is strongly encouraged at SSOE. In fact, the company covers the expense of preparation classes and exam fees as well as providing paid time off to take the exam. As an additional incentive, once a staff member has passed an exam, they receive a recognition bonus.

Andrew Gleason, PE, and Ian Wright, PE recently received their professional engineering licenses. Both individuals successfully completed the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam that measures a candidate’s academic and practical knowledge of technical engineering. Candidates are eligible to take the exam after meeting statutory requirements including a minimum of four years of acceptable work experience.

  • Andrew Gleason is a graduate of Portland State University with a master’s degree in civil engineering. Gleason works in SSOE’s Portland, Oregon office.
  • Ian Wright received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Portland State University and currently works in SSOE’s Portland, Oregon office.

Stacey Sun, HRMP, earned her certification as a Human Resource Management Professional. This certification, awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) recognizes individuals who have demonstrated dedication, credibility, and a mastery of the principles of human resources. To obtain this certification, candidates must possess required professional experience and educational requirements as well as pass an examination. Sun joined SSOE in 2012 and serves as Human Resources Manager in SSOE’s Shanghai, China office.
