The Maury County School District selected SSOE to program and design a new middle school and overall campus, complete with athletic fields.
Utilizing a building plan that will readily accommodate growth, the new middle school features a state-of-the art media center / library, computer, art and music classrooms, and a gymnasium with a seating capacity of 1,200. The facility also has a separate auditorium, located adjacent to the cafeteria / multi-purpose space with full service kitchen, to provide an extended lobby reception area for large school or public events.
This school was name School of the Year for excellence in architectural design. The Tennessee School Boards Association (TSBA) also gave top honors to SSOE for its work designing Spring Hill Middle School at the 2010 TSBA annual convention.
