Birmingham, Alabama, December 12, 2012 - SSOE Group (www.ssoe.com), a global engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) firm, along with Herrington Architects, is proud to announce their involvement in the success of Alabama’s first LEED-certified multi-resident student apartment complex in the state. Hoover Apartments III, IV, and V at The University of West Alabama (UWA) were awarded Silver certification according to the LEED for Homes rating system. The project involves the addition of three new apartment buildings to the existing Hoover Apartment Complex. All three of the new structures recently received LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building certification program. AIA Honors SSOE Group with Citation Award for Design of Northview High School Performing Arts Addition and Renovation
