Position Summary

SSOE is searching for an entry level accounting professional to join it’s Leon, Gto. team as an Accounting Clerk. In this role, the accounting clerk will work directly with the US and Mexico based finance team to support accounting processes for the SSOE Mexico operation. This position will report directly to the International Controller who is based in Toledo, OH.

An ideal candidate will have previous experience in a multi-national company, as well as a desire to work with remote teams.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing SSOE factura invoices and facilitating the required approval process.
  • Entering of Accounts Payable vouchers using US based enterprise resource system and imaging into SSOE’s electronic record system.
  • Maintaining records of invoices and receipts utilizing the SharePoint site.
  • Review and validation of employee expense reports. Booking entries and processing payments.
  • Booking of cash receipts and maintenance of appropriate documentation.
  • Vendor set-up and payment management.
  • Maintenance of petty cash and Credit Card transaction files.
  • Processing of employee timesheet adjustments

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree / ENTRY / 0-2

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred, with 1-2 years in finance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-national organization.
  • Effective written and spoken communication in both English and Spanish.
  • Ethical and knowledgeable of the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and National Anti-Corruption System (NAS).
  • Attention to detail and prioritization skills are important in this role.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
