Position Summary

SSOE is currently searching for an entry-level Architect-Registration tracked professional. This individual will work with project architects to develop and produce contract documents as part of a multi-discipline team for industrial and manufacturing clients. This position is part of SSOE Global Workforce to complete projects in many different nations, with a primary focus on the North American Region.

Past experience or working knowledge in Architectural design development, coordination, and document production is desired. This individual will use basic knowledge of building codes, materials, and building systems while working with and under the guidance of a Sr. Architect.

3D skills relevant coursework or courses is a plus.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support all phases of the architectural design process with various delivery methods.
  • Applies academic knowledge and training in the area of various building materials and systems.
  • Will complete entry level assignments that are designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities for future growth.
  • Works under the direction of a project architect; receives specific and detailed instruction as to given tasks and desired results.
  • Drafts own and others designs into completed working drawings.
  • May be assisted by a BIM Model designer, with no responsibility for direction of others.
  • Performs elementary architectural assignments and generally works from designs of others, compiles data, performs simple design studies and evaluations, estimates quantity take-offs, and assists in preparation of cost estimates with increasing responsibility based on performance.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, to the US, is required.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree / DIRECT / 3-5

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor of Architecture Degree, or Masters Degree in Architecture required.
  • Advanced English Speaking & Writing Skills
  • Desire to display and develop skills and initiative through problem-solving, strategic thinking, and discovering solutions.
  • The ability to communicate digitally, verbally and in writing with local and international team members.
  • Exercises judgment in developing project details, and selects and develops preliminary alternatives.
  • Good computer interface skills (PC) including 3D modeling. Knowledge of Bentley and Autodesk products is a definite plus.
  • Develop and use basic knowledge of building codes, materials and building systems.
  • Candidates should be able to produce sensible and pragmatic design solutions.
  • Ability to hand sketch in addition to produce Revit drawings/models.
