Position Summary

This position will serve as a BIM content specialist and pioneer of project technology aiming to increase our efficiency in project delivery through process improvements and content control. As a member of the ATSBU BIM Department, you will drive high value innovations and quality workflow improvements within a diverse team environment. You will be involved in project content creation, planning, and new and existing technology execution with an emphasis on content management.

Looking for experience in two or more of the following:

*Autocad MEP Fabrication parts and library management
*Revit content creation and management
*Navisworks Clash Detection
*Experience with Vault, and BIM 360
*Experienced Inventor modeler

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for and a key player in one or more areas: Autocad MEP Fabrication Parts, Revit family building, Navisworks Clash Detection, BIM360, and other key department needs for package deliverables.
  • Supports and mentors project staff in design best practices, configuration, and integration using tools mentioned above.
  • Applies sound and diversified knowledge of BIM technology, data exchange, and project delivery principles and practices in broad areas of assignments for operations and clients.
  • Coordinates and performs research and development associated with existing and new software through pilot projects involving project management and design staff.
  • Liaison with Corporate BIM/VDC technical staff.
  • Represents the company as a technical authority in the area of specialty in presentations and conferences, assists marketing department with external and internal BIM/VDC communications.

Minimum Education and Experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Degree in Engineering or Architecture preferred with five or more years related practical experience of BIM/3D design with former employers.
  • Must be capable of clearly defining appropriate technical approaches and solutions to most critical mission challenges.
  • Multidisciplinary AEC knowledge and excellent communication / coordination skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to lead or participate in team projects, planning, and execution.
  • Ability to train small and large groups of people in new and existing technology.
