Position Summary

Explore the benefits that go hand-in-hand with being a Design Lead within our Tool Install group at SSOE. This position will primarily work in direct coordination with our client.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to manage projects (with varying levels of complexity) within an established framework of scope, schedule, and cost under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment. Must be able to apply critical thinking, exercise learning agility, communicate verbal and written communication respectfully and demonstrate professionalism at all times.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with our Lead Engineers, Design team and Sr. Project Managers to identify, understand and manage the scope of work, schedule, and budget.
  • Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.
  • Coordinate with structural, electrical, mechanical, and architectural disciplines as needed to ensure that work complies with the client and project standards, as well as contract requirements.
  • Leads internal meetings with minimal guidance from supervisor. Documents meeting minutes and action required items; helps drive open items to closure.
  • Perform field verifications/site walks to identify and resolve design problems, as necessary.
  • Represents SSOE at client team and trade coordination meetings.
  • Coordinates and delivers RFI responses.
  • Responsible for following company and client safety protocol in project delivery.
  • Professional written and verbal communication.
  • Successfully identify and drive constraints to closure.
  • Maintain professional demeanor at all times.

Minimum Education and Experience

Associate’s Degree / DIRECT / 0-2

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Associates Degree in Engineering or Construction Management with at least 4+ years of relevant client facing experience within the A/E/C industry required.
  • Computer literacy and basic drafting skills with prevailing software platforms required.
  • PMI CAPM certification
