Electrical Engineering Intern (Summer)

Position Summary

SSOE is currently looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our growing Automotive, Manufacturing Facilities team in Brentwood, Tennessee.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering calculations by hand or utilizing electrical analysis & design software for both new and existing building projects.
  • Work under the direction of a lead engineer or designer.
  • Collect information from all available sources in order to prepare accurate and complete designs and drawings.
  • Organize, produce and coordinate construction documents using REVIT software under the direction of a Lead Engineer or Lead Designer.
  • Coordinate within the electrical team on tasks and plan work week.

Minimum Education and Experience

College Senior / ENTRY / 0-2

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Current enrollment in a four-year, ABET accredited college Electrical Engineering degree program.
  • Knowledge of electrical CADD platforms with emphasis on REVIT.
  • Ability to work well and be a contributor in a dynamic team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to complete a project from start to finish.
