Position Title – ” Cost Analysis Expert ( FMCG -Building Construction projects) ”

Client requirement -Provide Cost Analysis Services to support the future India CAPEX plan investments ( at Hyderabad location)

Key Credentials

Graduate or masters in construction management.
Minimum 10 years of experience.
Experience in FMCG- Consumer goods sector in construction and cost management.
Experience on cost optimization for industrial projects.
Excellent coordination skills.
Experience in cost benchmarking for FMCG sector.
Understanding on related Indian standard codes.
Hands on experience on MS office, AutoCAD (advantage).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Focus on FMCG Industry going rate for building construction cost in $/Sq-Mt for Manufacturing and Warehousing. Compare past projects in terms of cost, scope, standards and sourcing and share the plan, to bring the total construction cost closer to industry rate or cut it down by 50% of current cost, using the best practices and new technologies.
  • Understanding Project Charter and participate in regular connects.
  • Understanding Business unit structure and connections with key stakeholders and project core team via 1-1.
  • Review overall 5 year Capital investment plan and financials and define objectives.
  • List current state and opportunities basis inputs coming from Plant and BUs.
  • Brainstorm with key stakeholders on ideas to bridge gap.
  • Benchmarking on Non-Equipment Scope of our Competition or Similar industry.
  • Capital Cost Benchmarking $/Sq-m of Building as per company Facility Design Standard.
  • Build Case study from existing projects to redefine strategy on facility construction cost.
  • Building Roadmap and standard practices to optimize cost.
  • Build overall Project and construction strategy to optimize cost.
  • Identifying alternate Indian potential suppliers to build right pool for catering to all India sites to leverage scaled advantage.
  • Create SOP for cost optimization in different project heads like Designing, Construction, Non-Process Equipment, Construction resources cost optimization.
  • Identify potential vendors/structure.
  • Create a Case study on cost optimization through existing project
  • Create India wide Facility standards(scope), specification, Suppliers for Non- Equipment i.e. Building Facilities and Utilities
  • Create roadmap and build examples of success stories through existing projects as case study.
  • Build tool/platform to enable reuse and repurpose of equipment.
