Position Summary

The SSOE Interior Design Team is looking to expand our capacity to deliver innovative and creative design solutions for our diverse global clients. We are looking for talented interior designers that are adept in creative visioning of what healthcare, commercial and education facilities can be, and have the drive and passion to realize that vision in a collaborative team environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Completes all phases of the design process including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration on smaller projects.
  • Ensures interior finish materials and construction installation techniques meet applicable codes and performance requirements.
  • Leads small to medium size projects, coordinating with other disciplines.
  • Assists in developing design concepts with Senior Interior Designer or Project Architect.
  • Assists in the development of specifications on projects in coordination with other disciplines.
  • Prepares interior finish presentation boards for review by clients.
  • Processes routine shop drawings, checks to ensure quality accuracy and completeness.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree / DIRECT / 3-5

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional interior design experience is required.
  • Revit, Photoshop, AutoCAD, Enscape experience is preferred.
  • FFE experience in development of specifications and plans is required.
  • The ability to communicate digitally, verbally and in writing with local and national team members.
  • The ability to exercise judgment in developing project details, and selecting and developing preliminary alternatives.
