Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partners with business leaders to understand business requirements, talent strategies, and staffing needs to build out an effective, actionable recruitment strategy.
  • Develops recruitment strategy and programs to attract candidates and build talent pipelines.
  • Leads a team of talent acquisition specialists who are responsible for sourcing and hiring of talent, but also works alongside the team to build relationships, source, and hire all levels of positions, including leadership and executive level positions.
  • Partners with HR Managers on internal job posting program and manages the employee referral program.
  • Partners with our Marketing team to build a strong employment brand, and takes steps necessary to ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Develops and manages annual talent acquisition budget.
  • Manages contingent staffing vendors/RPO initiatives.
  • Partners with Learning & Development team to develop and deliver training to managers, employees, recruitment specialists, and HR team on best practices in talent acquisition.
  • Maintains strategic relationships with professional associations, and leads student relations and outreach programs to build and maintain a pipeline of talent.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree
8+ years of experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university required. An MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience recruiting for a professional services firm. (Equivalent combination of education and related experience will be considered.)
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Proven sales skills, including cold calling, relationship building, and networking (applied to the recruiting space).
  • Experience in creating and executing on recruitment strategies from entry to senior level and executive positions.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with all kinds of individuals within and outside of SSOE.
  • Working knowledge of recruitment technology and application of social media and internet-based recruiting.
  • Professional certification for recruiting and staffing preferred, but not required.
