SSOE Group is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our tool install program. As a Junior Level Engineer you will partner with your manager to establish where you see your career heading at SSOE. Using tools and resources that are matched with your passion and tenacity, you and your manager will create a road map to get your career heading in the right direction. Several of our Senior Level Engineers, PM’s and managers started at SSOE as a co-op/Intern and navigated their way to where they are today.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs audits of the facilities database, as well as field walks of certain facilities when needed.
  • Works closely with team members to complete shared tasks and keep others updated on status of current tasks.
  • Interfaces with client (face to face, phone and email) on a daily basis.
  • Works under the direction of a supervisor on specific and limited portions of a broader assignment that requires some supervision.
  • Drafts interpretation of own design into completed working drawings and applies engineering fundamentals to design.
  • May be assisted by a designer, but usually assumes no responsibility for direction of others.
  • Performs routine calculations and work on PC system.
  • Organizes and maintains project design notebook.
  • Communicates with supervisor concerning progress or problems in an assigned task.
  • Performs design using AutoCAD

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree / RELATED / 0-2

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, which qualifies for licensure in the state of practice, is required.
  • EIT preferred with a minimum one (1) year experience, or the same educational requirements as above with two (2) or more years of related practical experience with former employer(s).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Valid driver’s license required. May be waived for international assignments.
  • Experience with Inventor or Solidworks a plus
