SSOE is seeking a motivated engineering student enrolled in an ABET accredited civil engineering program for a structural engineering co-op during the 2020 summer semester.

Qualified students shall have completed some structural engineering coursework and have productive computer skills.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learn to generate 2D CAD drawings & 3D computer models.
  • Assist in preliminary structural calculations and gathering field information on existing structures.
  • Apply curriculum to varying degrees of engineering functions and responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with Professional Engineers on ad-hoc tasks.

Minimum Education and Experience

College Sophomore / ENTRY / -1

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Completed courses related to structural engineering analysis and design.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products.
  • Competent using AutoCAD, 3D design experience a plus.
  • Effective communication skills with a willingness to learn.
