SSOE’s Laura Morton, AIA, NCARB, Senior Architect, recently authored a Student Housing Business article where she details how the COVID-19 pandemic changed the landscape of student housing. As students enjoyed the freedom and comfort of living in a variety of housing options while enrolled in college coursework, a unique new project at Georgia Tech in Atlanta was taking flight. Georgia Tech, with help from SSOE’s designers, incorporated a furnished apartment complex for students directly adjacent to campus yet apart from the university system, reflecting desirable student housing ideals.
