To increase production capacity and meet market demand, Daimler Truck was looking to expand portions of their Class 8 truck assembly plant in Saltillo, Mexico. As a globally ranked provider of automotive facilities, SSOE was called upon to provide architectural and engineering services for the expansion.
SSOE’s responsibilities included project management, site, structural, mechanical (HVAC, utility piping, and plumbing), and electrical design. The project involved expanding the existing material storage and retrieval building and a portion of production, as well as building a new 1,177 sq. meters transporter building. SSOE designed all buildings and systems according to International Building Codes (IBC).
