SSOE offers a well-defined tuition reimbursement program, a full-time training and development staff, payment for outside seminars, and a full catalog of in-house training seminars. Here’s just a sample of the in-house courses we offer, many of which qualify for CEUs and PDHs:
Getting Results
This program targets select employees and provides a roadmap for leadership and professional development. After a two-day seminar, groups of five individuals are formed and given an assignment involving an actual SSOE business problem or opportunity that the group must research and solve. After the group project is presented to senior management, the participants continue to meet for regular coaching sessions. This program takes a full year to complete.
Business Building by Design
This program is designed for those employees who participate in or have an impact on business development activities. Various sessions cover relationship building, sales strategy, the sales process, and proposal strategies. In addition to the individual sessions, a two-day conference is periodically hosted for all business development employees to network and share ideas.
Professional Roundtable Series
There are a number of roundtable sessions that are offered on a regular monthly or bi-monthly schedule. The sessions share lessons learned, review best practices, and gain insight form guest speakers and subject matter experts. Examples include: Department manager roundtable, Project manager roundtable, women in leadership roundtable.
