Safety first. Safety always. Safety is one of our core values—it’s SSOE’s policy
We focus on safety as it pertains to our internal team, our clients, and our projects by fostering and encouraging a culture toward safe behaviors both on and off-site.
Protecting the SSOE Team
Central to the SSOE business culture is our commitment to the health and safety of our employees. Safety training and orientation are part of our onboarding process for all new employees, followed up with continuous training to increase safety knowledge and maintain focus. Staying true to our safety-always culture we share incident reports and near misses company-wide to raise awareness, distribute a weekly safety tip, and host quarterly safety meetings with guest speakers.
OSHA 10-hour construction training is mandatory for all technical employees and OSHA 30-hour construction training is required for all field and start-up employees. We provide additional client and project-specific safety training as required and allocate funds for safety-related seminars and training.
Protecting the Client
Safety performance is an integral part of project quality control, cost reduction, and job efficiency. Our client’s site and corporate safety standards are integrated with our own to develop OSHA-compliant and project-specific safety standards and training for all contractors and site visitors. SSOE will assist the client or will take the leadership position in providing site and project-specific safety training to the contractors.
Protecting the Project
Our field personnel are experienced and trained in safety awareness and hazard recognition to ensure projects are completely safe and incident free. SSOE requires contractors to complete a written Safe Plan of Action before starting their daily work tasks and we provide daily Safety Observation Reports for contract work that is performed. We will provide weekly and monthly project and safety reports as well as additional safety audits as required or requested for your project.
SSOE has received the Platinum Safety Award from cloud-based mobile risk management platform, Highwire. The Safety Assessment Program reviews a company’s historic safety performance and current safety management systems. The program provides thorough, objective and consistent evaluation of company performance so clients can identify, monitor, and manage risk smarter. The results provide a strong indicator of how a vendor or contractor values safety and a reliable predictor of future performance.
