TOLEDO, Ohio, November 13, 2013 —We are saddened by the loss of life and extensive damage that took place in the wake of Typhoon Haiyan earlier this week in the Philippines. We share the shock and grief of those who were touched by this typhoon, and also share the desire to help.
One of many organizations rising to the challenge is SCORE, the Special Commission on Relief & Education of the Filipino Association of Toledo, Ohio. Dennis Bensch, a Senior Civil Engineer in SSOE’s Toledo office is an active member of the Filipino Association of Toledo and will be leaving with a team from SCORE later this week as part of their medical relief mission to Polo New Washington on the island of Penay in the central Philippines. In support of our co-worker and to assist with the vital relief efforts his group will undertake, SSOE has made a donation in support of SCORE’s commendable work.
Please join SSOE Group and our employees in helping the survivors who have lost their homes and loved ones by visiting the SCORE website and donating. Your gift will support relief efforts and those impacted by this disastrous situation that is still unfolding. Assistance provided by SCORE will include essential medical and surgical help, mobilizing relief workers, and financial resources.
SCORE is a 501(c)3 organization. Click here to donate today.
