SSOE BIM Expert to Present at Autodesk University 2013

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, November 26, 2013 – SSOE Group (www.ssoe.com), a global engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) firm, announced today that BIM/CAD Technical Specialist, Jason Rostar, has been selected to speak at Autodesk University 2013. The event will be held December 3-5, 2013, at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The presentation, “From Point Clouds to Construction: Retrofits Explored” will examine the process of completing a complex retrofit project using Autodesk’s Revit software platform. In addition, Rostar will demonstrate how to convert point cloud data to native Revit elements, leveraging existing conditions through the design process and using construction detailing applications within Revit to produce accurate documentation for users. Attendees will walk away with a higher level of knowledge to complete retrofit projects in Revit as well as best practices for implementation on future projects.

Jason Rostar is a specialist in BIM applications with more than six years of experience in a wide range of project types. As a BIM/CAD technical specialist at SSOE, his experience is leveraged continually guiding complex projects through the documentation phase and construction. Rostar holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan and works in SSOE’s Portland, Oregon, office.

The Autodesk University annual conference offers a forum for design professionals around the world to network and attend educational sessions and product demonstrations. Attendees can participate in collaborative problem solving, share ideas, and establish new professional relationships. With more than 8,000 attendees annually, Autodesk University is the largest single gathering of Autodesk customers and resellers in the world.
