Licensures
Professional Engineer
To become licensed, engineers must complete a four-year college degree, work under a Professional Engineer for at least four years, pass two intensive competency exams, and earn a license from their state’s licensure board. Then, to retain their licenses, PEs must continually maintain and improve their skills throughout their careers.
Jared Mauldin, Mechanical Engineer, recently earned his professional engineering license. Jared is an Eastern Washington University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He supports the firm’s Advanced Technologies operations with seven years of experience.
Jake Redovich, Process Engineer, recently earned his professional engineering license. Jake is a University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He supports the firm’s Advanced Technologies operations with six years of experience.
Robert Straiton Jr., Mechanical Engineer, recently earned his professional engineering license. Robert earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. He supports the firm’s Advanced Technologies operations with six years of experience.
Spencer Hines, Electrical Engineer, recently earned his professional engineering license. Spencer graduated from the University of Toledo with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He supports the firm’s Advanced Technologies operations with five years of experience.
Registered Architect
To become a registered architect (RA), an individual must have a professional degree from an NAAB-accredited program and complete the Architectural Experience Program® (AXP®). The AXP provides a framework that guides an individual through earning and reporting their professional experience. As one progresses through the AXP, they build competency in the skills and tasks needed to practice architecture. With broad experience areas that reflect the current phases of practice, the program prepares individuals for everything from site design to project management. The final step to licensure is the successful completion of the Architect Registration Exam (ARE), which evaluates an individual’s knowledge, skills, and ability to provide the various services required in the practice of architecture. Once an individual has successfully completed all education, experience, and examination requirements they are granted a license to practice architecture.
Terry Harden, Architect, recently became a registered architect. Terry is a University of Cincinnati graduate with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture. He supports the firm’s Building Design Group operations with 16 years of experience.
