SSOE Group Announces Employee Registrations and Certifications for Third Quarter of Planning Year 2018

TOLEDO, Ohio, July 24, 2018 – SSOE Group (www.www.ssoe.com), a global project delivery firm for architecture, engineering, and construction management, announced today that two of its employees earned professional registrations and ­­­four employees earned professional certifications during the third quarter of SSOE’s 2018 planning year. Attainment of professional licensures and certifications is strongly encouraged at SSOE. In fact, the company covers the expense of preparation classes and exam fees as well as provides paid time off to take the exam. As an added incentive, once an employee has passed an exam, they are awarded a recognition bonus.­­­­

Registrations

Professional Engineer

To become a professional engineer (PE), an individual must meet statutory requirements, including completion of a 4-year college degree and a minimum of 4 years of acceptable work experience. Licensure is awarded upon successful completion of the Principles and Practice of Engineering exam, which measures an individual’s academic and practical knowledge of technical engineering.

David Flynn, PE, Civil Engineer, recently earned his professional engineering licensure. An Ohio University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, David works in SSOE’s Nashville, Tennessee office. He specializes in ­­­­site design supporting the firm’s automotive manufacturing facilities operations with his more than 5 years of experience.

Qiujun “Simon”, Zhu, PE, Electrical Engineer, recently earned his professional engineering licensure. A University of Toledo graduate with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Simon works in SSOE’s Toledo, Ohio office. He specializes in ­­­­­electric power engineering supporting the firm’s energy, glass, chemical, and manufacturing operations with his more than 5 years of experience.

 

Certifications

Project Management Professional (PMP)

PMP certification, awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI), indicates that the individual possesses the knowledge and skill necessary to lead and direct project teams, and deliver project results within the constraints of schedule, budget, and resources.

Matias Suarez, PMP, Project Manager, recently received his PMP certification. Matias graduated from the University of Buenos Aries with a Master of Engineering in Chemical Process. Matias works in SSOE’s Portland, Oregon office. He supports the firm’s high-tech operations, specializing in tool install design with his more than 10 years of industry experience.

Engineering Intern

To earn an Engineering Intern (EI) enrollment, an individual must successfully complete the 6-hour Fundamentals of Engineering exam. The exam signals the individual has mastered the fundamental requirements and is the first step toward earning a Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.

Jeremiah Cedoz, EI, Structural Designer, recently received his EI certification. A University of Toledo graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering Technology, Jeremiah works in SSOE’s Toledo, Ohio office. He supports the firm’s automotive manufacturing facilities operations, specializing in construction management, site design, and surveying with his more than 10 years of experience.

Ryan Knutson, EI, Mechanical Designer, recently received his EI certification. A recent Portland State University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Ryan works in SSOE’s Portland, Oregon office where he supports the firm’s high-tech operations.

Marc Salisbury, EI, Chemical Engineering, recently received his EI certification. An Ohio State University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Marc works in SSOE’s Lima, Ohio office. He supports the firm’s food and consumer products operations, specializing in process engineering with his more than 2 years of experience.
