TOLEDO, Ohio, November 10, 2020 – SSOE Group (www.ssoe.com), a global project delivery firm for architecture, engineering, and construction management, announced today that Vince DiPofi, PE, CEO and President of SSOE, and Mike Strait, Digital Engineering Leader at Owens Corning, have been selected to present at the Construction Users Roundtable (CURT) Technology and Productivity Summit, “The Drive for Technology and the Golden Thread of the Digital Twin.” The event will be held virtually on November 10, 2020, at 12:30 pm EST through November 11, 2020, at 3:45 pm EST.
The Drive for Technology and the Golden Thread of the Digital Twin event will take a deeper dive into how owners are embracing technology to drive productivity. Day one will be exploring how owners have utilized technology to continue to move their businesses forward in light of our current climate. Attendees will also hear how this has shaped perspectives moving forward. Day two will focus on the digitization of the buildings (Digital Twin) and the importance of having a consistent “Golden Thread” that flows through pre-work, construction, commissioning, and ultimately operations. A panel of owners will provide insight into how their organizations are putting this into action.
DiPofi and Strait will present “Digital Transformation, Discussion of a Journey” today, November 10, 2020, at 1:30 pm. During this presentation, they will share their perspectives on how to effectively bring technology together between owners and contractors / suppliers. Participants will hear about their learnings and challenges while linking all parties into a cohesive system that results in productivity and reduces transactional waste. Their vision for digital twins extends well beyond design, construction, commissioning, and handover – the real value comes in their daily operations. With capital efficiency and operational productivity as “true North,” attendees will hear a story that does not stop with engineering; the digital transformation lives on.
The CURT was founded in the fall of 2000 by construction and engineering executives representing major corporations all across the U.S. and the world. Continuing the 30-year effort of the Construction Committee of the Business Roundtable, CURT provides a national and international forum for the exchange of information, views, practices, and policies of construction users from an array of industries. CURT’s primary goal is to enact broad, effective Owner representation and increased Owner leadership on construction industry issues in order to create a competitive advantage for Owners.
