Area Development Article: “Collaborative Project Delivery Increases Efficiency and Cuts Design / Construction Costs”

Mary Stepnick, AIA, PMP, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and Senior Vice President, along with Todd Alsdorf, PE, Senior Vice President of Innovation, both of SSOE Group, recently authored an article in Area Development on Collaborative Project Delivery (CPD), a Lean concept that includes seven essential elements that reduce waste, compress schedules, lower costs, and improve satisfaction for team members and clients. In this article, they give insights into four of those seven elements to optimize project success.

Mary has over 30 years of experience and is responsible for the oversight of CPD at SSOE. She has experienced and led many changes across several different positions within the organization. Most recently, she served as Director of Quality, later being promoted to the position of CAO with oversight of SSOE’s corporate functions.

Todd has over 20 years of industry experience and joined SSOE in 2012. He has served on the SSOE’s board of directors and as Senior Vice President of Innovation and head of SSOE Greenfield Ventures, Inc.—an entity created to focus on research and development of innovation from within the company.
