With a focus on industrial markets, Vanderhoff’s addition reinforces SSOE’s strategic commitment to expanding the firm’s Central Ohio presence and depth of resources in the region. Since 2008, SSOE’s Columbus presence has served as a key location for all its business units and its proximity is strategic for many of its well-established industrial clients like Kenworth Truck Company, Molson Coors, Pharmavite, Owens Corning, and more.
Driving Regional Growth with Experienced Leadership
Vanderhoff brings extensive experience in account management and business development to SSOE. In his previous roles with American Electric Power (AEP) as a National Account Executive and Manager of Business Attraction, he managed the company’s largest national customers, served as the primary contact for AEP’s most strategic customers, and personally oversaw the fastest-growing industrial segments. He provided comprehensive support for businesses relocating or expanding in AEP’s 11-state service territory, working with economic development organizations, site selection consultants, and utility partners to deliver customized solutions to complex problems.
Vanderhoff successfully navigated multimillion-dollar expansion and relocation projects, generating significant revenue for the electric utility company and creating countless new jobs for the 3,000+ served communities. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and is currently pursuing his Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) certification. In addition, he serves as the Chair of the Brown Township Zoning Board in Delaware County, where he resides, and recently served on the Board of Directors for NATTBatt, a trade association that supports the commercial interests of its members by promoting the use, development, commercialization, and manufacture of advanced battery technology in North America.

A Journey of Growth and Expansion
