SSOE Group’s CEO Attends ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children’s Hospital Pediatric Inpatient Psychiatry Unit Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

TOLEDO, Ohio, May 6, 2024 – SSOE Group (www.ssoe.com), an internationally ranked architecture and engineering firm, along with their design / build partner Roncelli, are excited to announce their Pediatric Inpatient Psychiatric Unit project hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 2, 2024 at the ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children’s Hospital. SSOE’s CEO Vince DiPofi, PE, was in attendance at the ceremony to celebrate the advancement of the project alongside Architect / Principal Bob Siebenaller, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, who maintains the firm’s relationship with the not-for-profit healthcare system.

SSOE provided architectural and engineering design services for the Inpatient Unit project, which will provide the community with much-needed complimentary services for children and families in Northwest Ohio.

The project included a 20,000 SF renovation of a legacy general medical-surgical unit into a Pediatric Inpatient Psychiatry Unit containing single-occupant and Intensive Care Unit beds. Additionally, associated group treatment spaces, offices, and nurse stations were added. Every design decision was critical; the team focused on creating a safe environment for the children and their caregivers. Pediatric patients and caregivers will soon be relocated from their current home in the Harris-McIntosh Tower to the renovated unit.

Siebenaller stated, “ProMedica and SSOE have a long-lasting, ever-growing relationship spanning nearly four decades that’s been enriched by SSOE’s local presence and responsiveness to ProMedica’s specific and changing needs. We’re proud to partner with them to increase access to behavioral health services here in Northwest Ohio, where we’ve been headquartered for more than 75 years.”
