SSOE Group’s Jennifer Hrosko Earns Healthcare Interior Design Credential

TOLEDO, Ohio, December 11, 2017 – SSOE Group (www.ssoe.com), a project delivery firm for architecture, engineering, and construction management, is proud to announce that Jennifer Hrosko, IIDA, NCIDQ, CHID, a senior interior designer with the firm, recently passed the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers (AAHID) examination and earned the prestigious Certified Healthcare Interior Designer (CHID) certificate.

A minimum of three years of healthcare interior design experience, a portfolio review, and professional references are required before being eligible to take the comprehensive examination. The CHID examination is a rigorous assessment requiring examinees to demonstrate competence in a variety of aspects that affect the healthcare interior environment. The examination covers acute care, ambulatory care / outpatient, long term care / senior living, medical facilities / other, retail / hospitality, support services, allied professions, codes and guidelines, environmental, evidence based design and professional business practice.

“AAHID is the standard to identify those interior designers who are uniquely qualified to meet the needs and challenges of the healthcare interior design industry,” explains AAHID President, Laura Ethridge-Morris, CHID, IIDA, LEED AP BD+C, Lean Green Belt, of Array Architects in Philadelphia. “The CHID certificate is the highest appellation available for a healthcare interior design professional, and this credential is what every healthcare facility should look for when choosing an interior designer.”

Hrosko graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Industrial Design and has worked in the interior design field for over 20 years. Her expertise with space visualization, space planning, attention to detail, and complete project execution are a true asset for her clients. Over the last 10 years, Hrosko has worked on 60+ healthcare-related projects. Through the years, she has worked with hospital administrators, physicians, surgeons, as well as hospital school boards, committees, and clients to develop interior standards with new materials to provide a functional, healing, and lasting environment.

Sonny Hamizadeh, AIA, Architectural Department Manager and Principal at SSOE stated, “We are extremely proud that Jennifer has earned the CHID certificate. This prestigious, industry-recognized credential underscores our firm’s commitment to ensuring that our clients have access to the most qualified interior designers possible. Jennifer listens to the needs of her clients and provides them with creative solutions. The environments she creates are unique, fully integrated designs, and she understands the color psychology necessary to design timeless spaces for healthcare facilities.”

AAHID certifies the knowledge, skills and abilities of healthcare interior designers. Certified Healthcare Interior Designers are distinguished and qualified by education, examination, and work experience to practice healthcare interior design. The CHID appellation recognizes excellence, commitment, and knowledge. It further distinguishes preeminent healthcare interior designers from other architects, designers, decorators, and interior designers.  More information about the organization may be found at www.aahid.org.
