Steel Detailing Project Manager

SSOE is hiring a Steel Detailing Project Manager to fill a strategic need in our Systems business unit. Collaboration, accountability, and top-notch training are building blocks we use to set you up for success.

To be successful in this role, you must have knowledge of steel detailing, as well as experience in project definition, development, and estimating. The applicant must have previous experience as a Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering manufacturing capital projects. Key responsibilities of the position include project/program planning, stakeholder management and project success.

Procurement Coordinator

Seeking a Purchasing Coordinator/Project Controller to assist with the onboarding of vendors and the solicitation and procurement of SSOE required goods, services and construction agreements. Qualified candidate possesses the ability to work in a collaborative environment with engineers, technical staff, the diverse vendor population, and other internal and external personnel.

This position will handle day to day Procurement requirements as well as work with representatives throughout the organization to increase diverse spend. Market research and interface/communication with Vendors and local offices committed to supporting diverse business initiatives will be an integral part of this role.

Purchasing Coordinator will also work closely with Procurement staff and Vendors (Subcontractors, Suppliers, etc.) to coordinate solicitations (RFP, RFQ) and obtain pricing from selected bidders. The Purchasing Coordinator will be involved in processes and have responsibilities from Vendor Pre-Qualification through Project Close-Out.

Mechanical Engineer (Manufacturing)

The Mechanical Engineer will work on projects in support of SSOE’s growth in the Glass and Manufacturing sectors.

The Mechanical Engineer will provide sound, unique, and comprehensive design solutions to complex projects. Will work as part of a multi-disciplined engineering design team.

Plumbing Designer (Manufacturing)

Our Mechanical AMF Dept is seeking a Piping/Plumbing Designer to join our team. Qualified candidate is knowledgeable in plumbing code and design with experience in designing plumbing systems for commercial and industrial projects.

Process Engineer (Food)

As a mid-level Process Engineer, you are at a pivotal point in your career where the role tends to take on a broader range of responsibilities. Beyond the normal discipline specific professional development you will also develop a deeper understanding of work in related disciplines, gain practical experience in the field to inform future design work, and build leadership skills to support increasingly important roles within the organization. You will partner with your manager to determine the direction in the company you want to follow – which may be the technical pathway toward Project Engineer or Subject Matter Expert (SME) or alternately toward the managerial group as a Project Manager. Quite a few of our senior engineers and business leaders started as a co-op/intern or joined us right out of college, and navigated themselves to where they are today.

Electrical Engineer (Automotive)

SSOE is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team and act as electrical team leader for automotive and industrial projects. As a project lead, you will be assigned to selected projects, you will direct designers and AutoCAD operators, and act as support on other projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience with consulting on design in power distribution, lighting, and grounding for automotive and industrial plants. Must possess excellent collaboration and communication skills with different disciplines and teams across various locations.

Controls Engineer

SSOE is searching for a mid to senior level controls engineer to join our growing team. This position will support domestic projects while working collaboratively with an international team. The controls designer will prepare controls drawings, bills of materials, and cable schedules for SSOE clients in the food and consumer product industry.

An ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD capabilities, with knowledge of Revit. Prior field experience is desirable.
