SSOE’s Project Construction Management Team is looking for a Project Director, to lead projects in support of our design/build clients who are expanding and building throughout the world. SSOE provides engineering and project expertise to our clients and as a Project Director, you will be responsible for total project delivery management and project leadership focusing on client success for the full life cycle of projects.

This role is open for consider for the following office locations: Midland, MI; Birmingham, Alabama; Nashville, TN; Toledo, OH.

Mechanical Engineer (Commercial)

SSOE is looking to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing healthcare, educational and commercial team. Our team is looking for the next Lead Senior Mechanical Engineer that will be known to be our “go to Engineer” for special projects and within the department team.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will work as a lead of a multi-disciplined design team providing our clients efficient and innovated solutions to their projects. Candidates must have experience in the design, sizing, and selection of mechanical building systems, including HVAC and piping.

Steel Detailing Project Manager (BIM2Fab™ Steel )

The BIM2Fab™ Steel Team is looking for a Project Manager/ Estimator. If you have mastered Steel Detailing, have owned a project, and lead a project team, from start to finish and want to take your career to the next level, this could be the answer.

SSOE’s Project Managers lead and support projects that range from advanced technology, automotive facilities, healthcare to energy, chemical, food and telecommunication, The size of our projects in these industries range in size, scope and complexity; no two projects are alike and each will bring its own unique challenge and solution.

SSOE doesn’t stop when the project is completed, using our Lessons Learned process to continually improve. After each of our projects, our project teams take a look back at what was good and what can we learn from on each project, to ensure we are always providing the client with the best possible experience. Using 70 years’ experience is how SSOE has arrived at our current project processes, procedures and best practices for excellent total project delivery.

Our senior-level PMs are required to have the PMP Certification because we are dedicated to the PMP principles and practices. Our seasoned project teams use a collaborative series of tools to achieve total project delivery specific to the project’s scope and client goals, including systematic reporting, QC and lessons learned.

Project Controller

SSOE Group is seeking a talented Project Controller and/or Assistant Project Manager for our Toledo or Midland office. In either role, the candidate will help support Engineers, Project Managers, and design professionals support internal and external clients.

BIM – CAD Technical Specialist

BIM Technical Specialists at SSOE have entrepreneurial spirit and constantly seek out new opportunities for creativity and innovation. They work in a multi-discipline team environment and are able to prioritize and execute BIM activities with a core focus on efficiency and collaboration. The successful candidate confidently explains BIM principals, particularly using Process Piping applications, to all levels of design and construction professionals. Our trusted Specialists advise Project Managers and Design Teams on best approaches and techniques to achieve project goals.

Marketing Assistant

SSOE’s Corporate Marketing team is looking for a recent college graduate or new entry to the field of marketing who is interested in the fast pace and quick thinking required when responding to proposals or presentations for clients on a deadline. While this position is mainly administrative in nature, for the candidate willing to put in the hard work required, it has room for long-term career growth and is a good first step for a new college graduate. As opposed to being more of a traditional marketing communication path, growth in this position will remain involved in proposal generation, project management, and becoming more strategic in identifying how to win proposals.

Electrical Engineer (Commercial)

Electrical Engineer with consulting design experience in electrical power, lighting, and grounding systems for healthcare, education, commercial, and retail buildings. Applicant will act as electrical team leader on selected projects, complete designs using design software, direct designers, AutoCAD operators, and act as support on other projects. Position will report directly to the Department Manager.

Must have good communication skills and some working knowledge of project design, construction, design software, cost, and scheduling.

Estimator (Design-Build)

SSOE is looking for a Project Estimator that can provide accurate conceptual budgets and construction estimates, sometimes with limited or incomplete information, from quantity takeoffs, field investigations, and construction knowledge.

The ideal candidate would possess a good understanding of local and project cost factors to apply to a cost estimate. Ability to interface with engineers and contractors to gather and decipher needed information. Ability to analyze contractor bids and assist in bid reviews with contractors, and ability to effectively communicate expectations.

Position may require periodic field assignments and some travel. Long term travel should be less than 25%.
