Project Manager (Chemical)

SSOE Group is seeking a talented Project Manager for multiple office locations. The candidate must have a proven track record of executing and managing projects that develop drawings and specifications as a deliverable, preferably for chemical, heavy industrial, refining and manufacturing companies and/or electrical utilities

An idea professional for this role will be a natural leader and effective communicator, who thrives in a team environment. PMP certification is not required, but preferred.

Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer (Chemical)

SSOE Group is seeking a senior-level Instrumentation and Controls Engineer for our Midland office location.

Provide leadership for Instrumentation and Controls Projects assigned to SSOE’s Midland Office. In this role, the engineer will interface with clients and SSOE team to develop project scopes, estimates and coordinate design activities. This individual must
have consulting experience in process instrumentation, electrical control systems, and process automation.

An ideal candidate will have possess leadership qualities, be able to provide technical assurance of drawing and specifications, as well as provide guidance to junior engineers.

Chemical design experience required.

Engineering degree from an ABET accredited program is required.

Piping Designer (Chemical)

SSOE Group is seeking a talented piping designer for our Midland, Michigan office location. The candidate must have leadership skills or the desire to be a lead. In this role, you will responsible for solving problems and communicating with other disciplines, not afraid of responsibility, and have a desire to learn.

A/E and chemical plant experience desired. Experience with 3D design a plus. AutoCAD Plant 3D or PlantSpace a double plus.

Prepare piping drawings from field notes and greenfield design. Should know MicroStation J or AutoCAD 2010 at a minimum, MicroStation V8i preferred. Must be able to work independently and direct small teams. Able to prepare P&IDs as directed by supervising engineer, and prepare / direct preparation of piping layouts, plans, sections, details, pipe supports, and isometrics as required by specific project. Also should be familiar with chemical piping materials. Cost estimating experience a plus.

Will accept experience in lieu of an associate degree; minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience, more required for senior positions.

Mechanical Engineer (Glass)

As a Mid-level Mechanical Engineer, you are at a pivotal point in your career. The ultimate goal for our engineers to hold an active, vital role in our project delivery designs. This can be as a design engineer, discipline lead, Project Manager or Subject Matter Expert (SME). You will partner with your manager to determine the direction in the company you want follow.
