TOLEDO, Ohio, January 5, 2012 – SSOE Group (www.ssoe.com), an international engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) firm, along with their design build partner DeMaria Building Company, announce that they have been selected for an 800 KW cogeneration system to be located at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The new natural gas fired co-generation system will use combustion turbine generators along with a waste heat boiler to provide both steam and electricity to the campus of 14 buildings totaling 1,200,000 SF. The proposed system will be located adjacent to the existing Energy Center and will be able to provide operator initiated automatic start-up and shutdown of the system.
