SSOE Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer with consulting design experience in electrical power, lighting, and grounding systems for Healthcare, Education, Commercial and Retail buildings. Applicant will act as electrical team leader on selected projects, complete designs using design software, direct designers, BIM/CAD operators, and act as support on other projects. Position will report to Section Manager.

Must have good communications skills and some working knowledge of project design, construction, design software, cost estimating, and scheduling. Position includes options for career advancement through successful project execution, mentoring, client management and scope/budget management.

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering methods and techniques for the execution of work on small to larger projects.

Candidate must hold a P.E. license.

The position will report directly to Section Manager.

Senior Electrical Engineer (Industrial)

The Senior Electrical Engineer will coordinate with the US team to develop drawing packages as well as scope documents and specifications for projects in both the US and Mexico. The ideal candidate will have a degree in electrical engineering, with 4 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.

Ability to work within project budgets and schedules, Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time, Organizational capabilities, including coordinating work with other disciplines.

Experienced in design of low & medium voltage industrial power distributions systems including motor controls, power systems studies, protective device coordination, short circuit analysis, and arc flash techniques. Familiar with consultant business practices and ideally some experience in a manufacturing facility. Coordinate with Department Manager, Section Manager and Team Leaders for technical solutions, conceptual design, manpower and staffing needs. Work with project managers and other engineers to develop project plans and scopes. Work with client engineers to make sure designs meet the client needs.

Willingness to work above and below position title as project needs dictate.
